SAAIL will only guarantee attendance at meetings if we have been consulted on the date and time prior to the meeting being confirmed. Whilst we will make every effort to attend where this has not been done we will unfortunately not always be in attendance.
SAAIL requires all agreements made to be in writing. SAAIL will not act in the absence of a written agreement. This ensures clarity is maintained on expectations.
SAAIL will only agree to purchase items where a written request has been received confirming it has been authorised. There are no exceptions to this rule
SAAIL staff do not transport clients in their private vehicles. SAAIL will support clients upon request to attend meetings where the funding has been authorised by the social worker in writing to pay for public transport including Taxis.
Damage caused by clients to the property under the value of £1000 will be addressed by SAAIL. Damage caused to property in excess of £1000 that is not recoverable will lead to placement termination.
Social workers placing with SAAIL should ensure that the plan for their client can be achieved within the timescale and can be achieved by their client. SAAIL will only agree tasks that are realistic and have a good chance of success. Setting unrealistic aims and trying to deliver unachievable goals is a waste of time, resources and effort.
